Lubrication and Oil Analysis

Fluid analysis is a very effective means to provide internal condition information on plant equipment.  In fact, performance fluids are at work in most mechanical systems and many technologies are used to analyze them.  These techniques are becoming more advanced and easier to use.  Various types of fluids may require analysis such a lubrication oils, hydraulic fluids, fuels, coolants and others.

Performance fluid analysis is based on three components of the TriVector™:

  • Wear parameters indicate, within the equipment, the sources of mechanical breakdown
  • Chemistry indicates the performance fluid condition.
  • Contamination parameters indicate the source and level of foreign substance ingress.
