In this course, you will learn to:
- Explain the ASME code requirements for safety valves
- Identify the different safety valve technologies and how to select them for the right applications
- Size safety valves to API 520 Part I, and practice in the free PRV2 selection software
- Identify code requirements for proper valve installation

- Introduction, definition, common terminology
- Code requirements: ASME/API and NBIC
- Design of different valve technologies
- Hands-on valve sizing workshop
- Valve selection by application/industry type
- Code requirements: installation, piping
- Troubleshooting, maintenance recommendations
