Laurentide Controls is pleased to announce that it now assumes responsibility for the repair and maintenance of all Emerson's Final Controls products. Effective August 16, 2021, this change includes responsibility for control and isolation valves. Emerson's Lifecycle Services will be integrated with the current repair services of Laurentide Controls to create a single source entity.
This service consists of strategic support for all stages of a plant's lifecycle, whether it is by critical equipment repair, on-site technician support or employee training. It will now be provided by the Laurentide team.
With Emerson's service center already sharing the Kirkland head office building, the transition will be rapid and seamless. Laurentide has put in place an expanded service offering, including mechanical services, instrumentation, reliability, etc. This change will provide Emerson's processes, procedures, dimensional data and technical resources, resulting in a more agile service for customers, with additional expertise. Repairs will also continue to be factory certified and accredited by Emerson.
This is what Carl Thibault, Mechanical Services Business Development Manager, had to say about this move: "We already offered mechanical services, but now we are adding diagnostic and repair expertise for all brands of valves. Our customers are the ones who will benefit from this.
This announcement follows previous integrations of Laurentide Controls' Chicoutimi, Quebec service center, Mount Pearl, Newfoundland service center and Saint John, New Brunswick service center.
Steve Dustin, President of Laurentide Controls, declared:
"This is very good news. It will allow us to increase our service and resource planning capabilities - both material and human. This will help the industry to thrive in Eastern Canada."
